TEXT ABOUT COURSES
Student Boosters are events that build confidence for students who need to refresh their knowledge and abilities. Sessions aim to achieve this by familiarising students with the Isaac Computer Science platform, using the online resources as the basis for the activities, and provide a space for students to ask questions about the topics they are working through.
Student Booster
Student masterclasses are educational workshops that aim to stretch the knowledge and abilities Computer Science at A-level students. Masterclasses aim to achieve this by familiarising students with the Isaac Computer Science platform, explaining key concepts, and giving students the opportunity to apply these with a practical activity, for example coding or physical computing.
Student Masterclass

Dijkstra's Algorithm
Coming Soon
At this Student Booster event, you will focus on Dijkstra's algorithm, and how it can be applied. By the end of the event, you will be able to:
-
Understand how Dijkstra's algorithm works
-
Calculate the shortest path in a graph or tree using Dijkstra's shortest path algorithm
-
Read and trace code that performs Dijkstra's shortest path algorithm

Object Oriented Programming
Coming Soon
At this Student Booster event, you will focus on the fundamentals of object-oriented programming (OOP). By the end of the event, you will be able to:
-
Describe the difference between OOP and procedural programming approaches
-
Explain how to define objects and classes
-
Explain the meaning of terms such as encapsulation and polymorphism
